Ruth is a lady full of ornaments, the kind of ornaments that makes you ask: Is that really necessary? But she has such a gentle way with everything, making the most trivial things really special, that you will be amazed and love her at first sight. She always asks you “How are you” and what is crazy about this is that she really wants to know, she does care about you. Her kindness is such that when you accept to have tea with her, you will learn that all those shallow subjects that people talk everyday at this meetings, with her they feel like transcendental chats just because she is such a sincere and pure creature. She really means everything she says. From the delicacy that she holds the cup of tea, to the sweet breeze that comes from her moves, you just feel like entering a realm of blessed dreams.
She is really old and catholic. But you just don’t care anymore if that religion makes sense or not, if are just a bunch of myths to delude people, because she does all her rites with such elegance and grace that when she says goodbye and “May Jesus protect you”, you go away feeling really protected and at peace, because such a faith in anything is so rare. You discover that what really matters is sincerity, nothing else. Wisdom always bows to those hearts. You go home whispering to yourself: “she cares, she cares…” and wishes nothing in return.
This is dedicated to all those sweet aunts and grammas that we love so much…
